Woman robbed, dragged from car on Main St. in Hamilton

Hamilton police are investigating after a woman was robbed and dragged from a car on Main St. East Tuesday night.

Police say a female victim was walking eastbound on Main St. East near Parkdale Ave. North when a vehicle stopped and three to five teenage girls got out and robbed the victim.

The suspects stole personal items from the victim and then started assaulting her.

Police say the vehicle involved in this incident is described as a grey or silver hatchback Ford Focus (Image courtesy/HO-Hamilton police).

Police say the suspects pulled the victim alongside the vehicle for a short distance before throwing her from the vehicle and speeding away from the scene, heading southbound on Parkdale Ave. North.

The suspects are all described as white female teenagers. They were driving a grey, four-door Ford Focus hatchback.

Investigators ask residents and businesses in the area to check their video surveillance footage for any suspicious activity between 8:20 p.m. and 8:35 p.m.
