Woman in critical condition after being struck car in Niagara Falls

A 43-year-old pedestrian remains in critical condition after a vehicle struck her in Niagara Falls late Tuesday night.

Emergency crews responded shortly after 11 p.m. for reports of a collision involving a pedestrian on Morrison St. near Second Ave.

Officers say a grey 2015 Buick Verano was travelling west on Morrison St. when they hit the woman who was walking.

Paramedics transported the woman to an out-of-town trauma centre, where she remains in critical condition.

The driver remained at the scene following the incident. Police say the driver was not impaired during the collision.
