Wild Card is the latest action-drama from Simon West (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, The Expendables 2) and two-time Academy Award-winning writer and novelist William Goldman (Dreamcatcher, The Princess Bride). Notorious action star Jason Statham takes the lead role as Las Vegas bodyguard Nick Wild while Michael Angarano, Dominik García-Lorido, Milo Ventimiglia, Stanley Tucci, Jason Alexander, Sofía Vergara, and Anne Heche round out the main ensemble cast.

Nick Wild (Jason Statham) is a Las Vegas bodyguard with lethal professional skills and a personal gambling problem. When a friend is beaten by a sadistic thug, Nick strikes back, only to find out the thug is the son of a powerful mob boss. Suddenly Nick is plunged into the criminal underworld, chased by enforcers and wanted by the mob. Having raised the stakes, Nick has one last play to change his fortunes…and this time, it’s all or nothing.

In an interview for Live For Films, West described his appreciation of Statham’s performance. “Wild Card, I think will surprise a lot of people – it’s a very strong dramatic piece by (Jason). There are, of course, also two or three fights! I think some of his best fights ever are in it. They’re very realistic and we spent a lot of time on them, so they’re very detailed and very well executed I think.”
