Here’s a look at what will be open and closed in Hamilton, Halton and Niagara this Labour Day.

All LCBO locations across the province will be closed, while select beer stores will remain open. There will be six beer stores open in Hamilton, one in Oakville and one in Brantford. Specific locations can be found on the beer store website.

Hamilton

  • Transit will be running on a Sunday schedule
  • Garbage pick up scheduled for Monday will be pushed one day
  • The Art Gallery of Hamilton is open
  • The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is open
  • Public libraries are closed

Halton Region

  • Transit in Burlington and Milton is running on a Sunday schedule
  • Milton transit is not running
  • Go Transit is operating on a Sunday schedule
  • All garbage pickup will be pushed by one day
  • Some city pools, splash pads, arenas and community centers will be open

Niagara Region

  • Transit will be running on a holiday schedule in Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and Welland
  • There will be no transit service in Fort Erie
  • Garbage pick up will proceed as usual
  • All city splash pads will be open
  • The Garden city Golf Course is open
  • The Lakeside Park Carousel is open from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
  • Most Niagara Falls attractions are open
