Volunteers needed for 2023 Ontario 55+ Summer Games

The 2023 Ontario 55+ Summer Games are looking for volunteers who are available from Aug. 9 to 11 in Brantford and Brant County.

Every year, this initiative partners with the Ontario Senior Games Association to give people who are 55 and older the opportunity to maintain an active lifestyle.

Anyone who is interested in volunteering can apply for a variety of roles, such as signage and marketing, food services and transportation.

The Ontario 55+ Summer Games began in 1986 in Kitchener under the name “Activefest.”

This year is expected to see 1,400 participants compete across 18 sports, including cycling, golf and tennis.

Volunteers are asked to submit their applications by July 10.
