A vehicle rollover on the Welland Canal Parkway Wednesday left responders searching for occupants when the car was found empty and no one was in sight.

Niagara EMS says they were called to the Parkway near Lock Three in St. Catharines just after midnight for reports of a vehicle that had rolled over.

Paramedics say they arrived at the scene to find the car empty and no patients in sight.

Video from the scene shows severe damage to the car and all airbags deployed.

Niagara police have yet to provide an update on the incident thus far.
