Ukraine under attack: Russian drone swarm kills 5, targets energy infrastructure

First Published:

A record-breaking barrage of drones and missiles swarmed Ukraine over the weekend, targeting energy infrastructure and killing at least five.

Residents scrambled to get underground as explosions rang out during rush hour, with the Kiev metro serving as a make-do bomb shelter.

The attacks follow an earlier strike Russia launched on a hotel in the Donetsk region that claimed the life of a British journalist, Ryan Evans, who was working as part of a Reuters news team.
