Two people charged in latest lockdown protest in St. Catharines

Niagara police have laid charges in connection with a protest held against COVID-19 restrictions in Niagara Falls on Saturday.

Alicia Hirter, 43, of St. Catharines and Cullen McDonald, 30, of Lincoln are charged with common nuisance/endangering lives or safety of the public.

Both are scheduled to make a court appearance next month.

Police say more charges are pending against people who attended the event.
