Trio sentenced in 2021 ‘torture-homicide’ of Tommy Hoang in Hamilton

First Published:

An Ontario judge has now sentenced three people connected with the brutal torture and killing of a Hamilton man three years ago.

Tommy Hoang was killed in February 2021 after being lured to his then-girlfriend’s apartment on Main Street East near Sherman Avenue South.

There, he was beaten, tortured and robbed.

The Crown previously described the murder as an ambush that was “motivated by greed,” telling the court how 30-year-old Hoang was found with his throat slashed, a fractured skull, numerous wounds and bite marks.
