China, U.S. trade tensions escalate as Trump set to implement 104 percent tariff

The United States is poised to implement a 104 percent tariff on goods imported from China at midnight Tuesday.
The White House press secretary told reporters today China was “making a mistake” by responding with steep tariffs after the U.S. hit the country with a 34 percent duty last week.
