Traffic hazard closes part of John Street in Hamilton, power out

Cooking a Thanksgiving meal may be delayed for some Hamilton residents today due to a power outage on John Street between Cannon and Barton streets.

Hamilton police closed John Street between Cannon and Barton Monday morning due to a traffic hazard. Trees and wires are down and power is out in the area.

Alectra Utilities says the outage happened around 2 a.m. Monday and that power should be restored between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
