Toronto police in Hamilton searching for evidence in bus stop shootings

There is a large Toronto police presence on Hamilton’s East Mountain as officers continue to investigate a pair of shootings at a bus stop last weekend.
Last Friday, a shooting at Jane Street and Driftwood Avenue in Toronto sent a person to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
In that incident, detectives say a 16-year-old boy was shot in the face while waiting for the bus.
The following day, another shooting occurred at the same exact location, injuring someone else, only this time, the victim died.
Earlier this week, police say the suspect vehicle involved in both shootings, a stolen black Acura RDX, was found in the area of Paramount Drive and Mud Street West in Hamilton.

This is the area where Toronto police have now returned to, reportedly searching for evidence in connection with the shootings.
Officers can be seen searching near Valley Park, with members of the marine unit inspecting a small creek.
Police say the suspect in the shootings remains at large.
He’s described as a black 18 to 25-year-old male with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black coat, a white hoodie, black pants, black shoes, a black face covering and possibly a white surgical mask.
Hamilton police say they are not involved in the investigation, but there is a possibility that the suspect is in Hamilton.
