Toronto legal troubles for Bieber

(Update)
Justin Bieber is now facing charges on both sides of the Canada U.S. border.
In a chaotic crush of police, media, and screaming fans, the Stratford singing sensation was ushered into 52 Division in downtown Toronto early Wednesday evening. He was barely visible in the pack of people trying to get a glimpse of him. But once he was inside the station, Bieber was formally charged with assault. Toronto police say the assault stems from an incident in a limo in December. The driver claims he was hit in the back of the head several times by someone in the car that night. But he claims whoever hit him had left before police arrived. Bieber turned himself in. Be was released a few hours after arriving and he’s due back in court at Old City Hall on Monday March tenth at 11 am. The Toronto law firm representing Bieber released a brief statement saying its position is that Bieber is innocent.
This comes after an arraignment date was set for Bieber’s more recent charges in Miami. Police say Bieber admitted to smoking marijuana, drinking and taking a prescription medication before getting behind the wheel of a Lamborghini. He’s expected to enter a plea on February 14th.
Also, the White House will now have to take a stance on Justin Bieber. More than 100-thousand Americans are so concerned about Bieber being in their country, they’ve signed a petition on the White House website calling for Bieber’s deportation back to Canada. When a petition reaches 100,000 signatures the White House is compelled to offer a reply.
