The Visit

The Visit is the latest horror picture from writer/director M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs). The film stars Kathryn Hahn, Olivia De Jonge, Ed Oxenbould, Deanna Dunagan, Peter McRobbie, and Benjamin Kanes.

Shyamalan returns to his roots with the terrifying story of Becca (OLIVIA DEJONGE) and her brother, Tyler (ED OXENBOULD), who are sent to their Nana (Tony Award winner DEANNA DUNAGAN) and Pop Pop’s (PETER MCROBBIE) remote Pennsylvania farm for a weeklong trip. Once the children discover that the elderly couple is involved in something deeply disturbing, they see their chances of ever getting back home to their Mom (KATHRYN HAHN) grow smaller every day.

After having a big projects like The Last Airbender and After Earth flop, Shyamalan has turned his focus to more intimate stories. “One day, I said, ‘We’re going to make small movies from now on.’ There is a speed that ideas come to me, as well as a certain time that they’re meaningful to me. For a big movie that takes three years to make, it is just too long. I need to write it, make it and shoot it with the same power that came from the idea that made sense to me at that time.”
