The Trews headline opening night of Mega World’s Fan Festival in Port Dalhouise

First Published:

The World Rowing Championships are underway in St. Catharines, but starting tomorrow in Port Dalhouise there is going to be a Mega World’s Fan Festival.

The free festival takes place at Rennie Park, with opening night headliner, The Trews, taking the stage at 7:30pm. Other headliners include Juno award winner DJ Shub, Canadian country music artist Owen Riegling, and Scott Helman on Saturday. There’s programming on the stage starting at 2:30 each day, with something for all ages.

The festival site also features a giant ferris wheel, artisans and vendors, interactive games & displays, food trucks, and more. Parking can be a challenge, so there’s FREE daily shuttle service provided by Niagara Regional Transit from a number of locations in St. Catharines. The festival itself is free, but they are asking for non-perishable food items or money to help support Feed Niagara.

John Angus MacDonald and Colin MacDonald from The Trews sat down with Emily Vukovic ahead of their performance tomorrow to talk about what else they have planned for the year.
