The Incredible Hulk bursts through Hamilton Convention Centre

First Published:

The Incredible Hulk is bursting through Hamilton this weekend.

Lou Ferrigno, the man who embodied the role of the Hulk nearly 50 years ago, will be at the Hamilton Convention Centre’s Comic Con.

Ferrigno is a celebrity among Hamiltonians, and not just because of his super strength.

During a visit 10 years ago, he was sworn in as an honourary police constable.

“Because my father was a police lieutenant for 26 years in the NYPD, and I’ve always wanted to be involved in law enforcement,” he said.

Ferrigno has received similar recognitions from dozens of other police departments, and says he sees the challenges faced by officers on a daily basis.

“That’s why I’m very active showing my support for police, crime stoppers, right now they need support from the public as well,” he said.
