Teen girl charged in death of missing Brantford man

Update: OPP and Six Nations police have charged a second woman in the murder of Douglas Hill. 35 year old Holly Martin of Brantford has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
A 17-year-old girl has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a missing Brantford man.
Police say the teen was arrested on Wednesday after the investigation into the disappearance of Douglas Hill was deemed a homicide.
“This matter was brought to a successful conclusion as a direct result of information that was received by members of the public and I would personally like to thank our residents for their assistance,” said Chief Glenn Lickers, Six Nations Police Service, in a news release.
The girl is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Brantford at a later date.
Brantford police sent out a press release on June 27 asking the public for help in locating the 48-year-old man. He was last seen on the Six Nations of The Grand River Territory on June 24 around 9 a.m.
Hill is described by police as an Indigenous male, five-foot-five, weighing approximately 167 pounds. He has a thin build, long dark hair, and is known to wear prescription sunglasses. He also has facial hair with a visible tattoo of a feather on his right cheek.
