Police are continuing their investigation into Friday night’s shooting on Stoney Creek mountain that left a teenager dead and two others injured.

It happened in the back parking lot of a plaza at 288 Mud St. around 7:30 p.m.

Police say two suspects approached three people who were standing in the lot and fired several shots at the trio.

A 17-year-old boy suffered critical injuries and was transported to the hospital where he later died. A 25-year-old man was treated in hospital for gunshot wounds but was later released. A 35-year-old man suffered life-altering injuries and remains in hospital.

Police described the suspects as wearing dark clothing but have provided no further descriptions.

Over the weekend, officers were on scene and police had cordoned off the parking lot as well as grassy areas near Mud St. West, Paramount Dr., and Mistywood Dr.

The area has since been reopened.
