Targeted shooting in Hamilton sends 1 to hospital

One person has been transported to hospital following a shooting Tuesday evening.

Authorities were called out to Proctor Boulevard and King Street East shortly before 7:30 p.m. for reports of shots having been fired.

When officers arrived on scene they found one person who had been struck by gunfire.

The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers believe that the shooting was targeted but currently have no suspect at this time.
