The westbound QEW in Oakville saw a near shutdown Tuesday morning as Halton police attempted to stop a vehicle reported in a “suspicious observation call.”

Police say officers attempted to stop a vehicle after receiving the call at a car dealership in the area of Kerr Street and Wyecroft Road in Oakville around 4:20 a.m.

The driver, however, did not stop and lost control, striking the guardrail near Bronte Road.

Officers say the three individuals who were in the vehicle were arrested and sustained minor injuries. A fourth suspect was additionally arrested at the dealership.
