Support worker arrested after stealing senior’s cash in St. Catharines

Niagara police have arrested and charged a personal support worker after family members suspected missing funds in St. Catharines.
Officers say they received a theft complaint from a family member Thursday of an 87-year-old senior residing at Niagara Ina Grafton Gage Village, located at 413 Linwell Rd.
As a result of the suspicion, members from the senior’s family purchased and installed a camera inside their fathers independent living area.
After reviewing the video, evidence shows that their father’s personal support worker was responsible for stealing cash.
