Stoney Creek murder suspect in court

Updated The suspect in the weekend stabbing death of a Stoney Creek woman has made his first court appearance.

Tania Cowell, 36, was found stabbed to death in her apartment Sunday. Her common-law husband, Haiden Suarez Noa, 35, was arrested by Guelph Police and returned to Hamilton.

During this morning’s arraignment on second-degree murder charges, Noa was remanded in custody. He will return to court via video on April 2nd.

The couple had a baby together but there is no word on where the five-month old is.
