St. Catharines man suffers serious injury after being hit by his own car

A 34-year-old man in St. Catharines suffered a serious injury to his leg after an accident resulted in him being pinned between his vehicle and his house.

Niagara Regional Police received reports shortly before 9 a.m. about a man being hit by a vehicle at a residential address on Battersea Ave. near Ferndale Ave.

Officers arrived to find a man pinned up against his house by his own vehicle. Niagara EMS transported the man to an out-of-town hospital with a serious injury to his leg.

Police say there is no information to suggest this was anything other than an accident.
