Search on for final suspect after armed robbery at a Milton pharmacy

Halton police are continuing the search for the final suspect following an armed robbery at a pharmacy in Milton on Thursday that sent several schools into a hold-and-secure.
Officers say the robbery occurred around 12:30 p.m. at the Bonafide Compounding Pharmacy in the area of Britannica Road and Leger Way.
Three suspects allegedly entered the pharmacy and stole cash before fleeing the scene in what police say was a stolen white Honda CRV driven by a fourth suspect.
Shortly after, police were able to locate the stolen vehicle before a police vehicle collided with it in the area of Thompson Road and Main Street East.
That’s when officers say the four suspects fled on foot.

As the search for the suspects continued, multiple schools in the area were placed on a hold and secure, along with the FirstOntario Arts Centre on Main Street.
Police say the three suspects are teenagers from Toronto who are now facing robbery, firearms, and other charges.
The suspects were detained by police, who recovered a handgun during the arrests.
With the arrest of three suspects, the hold and secure orders were lifted around 2:30 p.m.
The search for the final suspect now continues, though police have not released a description at this time nor have they confirmed what role the remaining suspect played in the robbery itself.

Ryan Anderson from Halton Police said, “the initial demands were for narcotics and once they were told that those were being stored in a time-delayed safe they made a grab for the cash register and fled”
Police say the motive behind this robbery was drugs, but a recently mandated lock delay on a pharmacy safe by the province’s College of Pharmacists kept them from getting their hands on the drugs.
Police also say they found a replica handgun in the stolen SUV.
According to police, there were no injuries in the robbery or the car crash.
