Rusty nails found in Port Dover beach

Norfolk OPP are investigating what they’re calling an “alarming” find in Port Dover.

Officers received a call from a member of public reporting a mischief on Monday afternoon.

People with families and small children located several nails in the sand.

About 100 rusty nails along the shoreline of the main beach area and were turned over to police.

Investigators believe the nails were purposely placed just below the surface of the sand.

OPP are asking anyone with information to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
