Road closure coming Tuesday on Burlington’s Lakeshore Rd.

Drivers in Burlington will be facing a new road closure on their daily drives as a portion of Lakeshore Rd. is expected to be closed from Tuesday until the start of next year.

Lakeshore Rd. between Guelph and Walkers Line will be closed for construction as city crews will be in the area replacing the Pine Cove Bridge

City officials say the age of the bridge won’t allow for lanes to safely stay open during construction, forcing the closure.

Anyone who lives in the area will have local access, however detours will be in effect for all other drivers.
