A political shockwave was rolling through the United States and the world.
Some Democrats are reportedly panicked over President Joe Biden’s performance in his first election debate with Donald Trump.
On the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, visiting Americans felt let down by what they saw on the debate stage from both men.
“I wanted the candidates to bring out facts and figures and they just argued who was better and who was worse.”
“I just think that we’re kind of in trouble.”
“I just want somebody that’s going to be a strong leader and a good leader and I’m just a little concerned that we do not have that from either one of them.”
For an hour and a half in the debate, Trump and Biden took potshots at each other with Biden calling Trump a “whiner.”
The two candidates also argued about who is the better golfer.
“I just won two club championships not even senior. To do that, you have to be quite smart and you have to be able to hit the ball a long way, and I do it. He doesn’t do it, he can’t hit the ball 50 yards away,” said Trump.
Biden retaliated with, “By the way, I told you before I’m happy to play golf with you – carry your own bag.”
At the age of 81, people are saying President Biden’s voice was weak and his thoughts were sometimes jumbled and confused.
A CNN poll shows 67 per cent of viewers thought Trump won the debate, 33 per cent for Biden.
While Democratic party insiders say the conversation has started about whether Biden should be replaced as their candidate for President.
