Police seize over $60K worth of drugs after arrest in St. Catharines

Niagara police have arrested a man from St. Catharines and seized over $66,000 worth of illicit drugs.
Just before 11 p.m. on Friday, officers were in the area of Byron Place and Shakespeare Ave. in St. Catharines when they found a wanted suspect.
Police executed the arrest warrant and located a slew of drugs, including crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl and MDMA pills.
Piotr Stefan Zawadzki, 35, of St. Catharines is facing drug trafficking related offences and fail to comply with release order.

Zawadzki was held in custody for a bail hearing that took place virtually at a Hamilton courthouse.
Officers say he has since been remanded into the custody of Ontario Corrections Services.
