Police seek witnesses in east Hamilton Mountain shooting

Hamilton police are asking for witnesses to come forward after gunfire was reported on the city’s east mountain early Saturday morning.

Officers say the reported shots were fired around 2:20 a.m. in the area of Upper Ottawa and Fennell Avenue East.

Residents in the area are asked to review any security surveillance footage between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. for any suspicious activity.

Detectives are additionally looking for dash camera footage from anyone who may have been driving in the area at that time.
