Police seek identity of man who stabbed a store employee in Hamilton

Hamilton Police seek the identity of a man wanted for stabbing a store employee downtown on Sunday.
The suspect was seen stealing food and other items from a store in the area of Main St. East and Wentworth St.
A staff member approached the suspect as he attempted to leave the store.
The suspect stabbed the staff member with a knife before fleeing the area on foot.
Police say the employee of the store received non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers attended and searched the area with the assistance of a K-9 unit but were unable to locate the suspect.
He is described as a white male, 50-60 years of age, 200-250 pounds, wearing a blue BB cap, black/grey jacket and black or blue pants.
