Police seek ‘armed and dangerous’ suspect in Beamsville robbery

Niagara police are seeking the suspect in the third armed robbery reported in Beamsville on Tuesday who they believe to be armed and dangerous.

Officers say they responded to Hey Bud on Greenlane Road around 8:50 p.m. where initial investigation showed that a man entered the business brandishing a black handgun demanding money.

The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing in a dark-coloured Chevrolet single cab pickup truck with chrome wheels.

There were no physical injuries reported by the employees of the business.

At this time, Niagara police believe that the suspect is responsible for two attempted armed robberies reported earlier that day at the Coastal Kitchen Bar and Home Hardware on King Street.

The suspect is described as a white man, around the age of 35, six-feet-tall and around 175 pounds.

At the time of the incident at Hey Bud he was wearing a black “Carhartt” style coat, blue jeans, a blue jean jacket, black tennis shoes with a white swoosh and a black toque.

Anyone who spots the suspect is asked to not approach him and contact police immediately.
