Police search for suspects connected to armed robbery in Thorold

Niagara police are investigating after a 20-year-old man was assaulted and robbed while riding his e-bike in Thorold Tuesday night.
Police say they arrived at the scene on Summers Dr. near Confederation Ave. at 9 p.m. to find a man suffering from facial injuries.
The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries but has since been released and continues to recover at home.

Police say the suspect was riding an e-bike on Summers Dr. when he came upon a Hyundai sedan parked at an angle in the middle of the street.
The suspects reportedly got out of the sedan, one carrying a black handgun, and instructed the man on the e-bike to give them his wallet.
After he handed his wallet over, the pair of suspects then physically assaulted the victim for about 30 seconds before driving away.

The first suspect is described as Black, 18-20 years old with a medium build. He was wearing a white t-shirt and shorts.
The second suspect is described as White, 18-20 years old, wearing a black balaclava and a blue hooded sweatshirt.
The pair of suspects were driving a grey, four-door Hyundai sedan.
Residents in the area are encouraged to review their surveillance footage for any suspicious activity, and those with information should contact the lead detective at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009412.
