Police looking for witness vehicle in fatal Niagara-on-the-Lake crash

Niagara police are looking to speak with the driver of a vehicle they suspect witnessed a fatal collision in Niagara-on-the-Lake on Tuesday.

Police say the crash happened just before noon in the area of Four Mile Creek and Line 4 roads.

An 80-year-old man driving a silver Subaru was travelling northbound on Four Mile Creek Road when he crossed the centre line and collided with a 65-year-old woman who was operating a blue Ram pickup truck travelling southbound.

Police say the 80-year-old driver of the Subaru later succumbed to his injuries in hospital, while a female passenger from the same vehicle remains in critical condition.

The collision reconstruction unit continues to investigate this collision, and is seeking to identify the driver of a witness vehicle.

The vehicle was driving southbound on Four Mile Creek Road on Mar. 19 at approximately 11:47 a.m.
