Police investigate fatal early morning stabbing in Niagara Falls

Niagara police are asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect wanted for fatally stabbing someone early Wednesday morning.
Police responded to calls of a stabbing that had escalated from a fight between a group of people on Victoria Avenue between Morrison and Simcoe streets shortly before 3 a.m.
Officers say the victim was stabbed with a knife during the fight and left on the ground. The victim was treated at the scene and taken to a nearby hospital but he later died from the injury.

Victoria Avenue between Morrison and Simcoe streets was closed for an investigation.
Police say a knife was found near the scene and it has been seized.
The scene and roadway have been cleared and re-opened since.
