Police investigate armed robbery at Georgetown convenience store

Halton police are investigating after two men robbed a Georgetown convenience store.

It happened at the Circle K at 10 Mountainview Rd. South on Thursday.

Police say just before 2:30 a.m. two men in their mid-twenties entered the store, approached an employee and demanded cash.

One of the men told the clerk he had a gun, although a weapon was never seen.

The suspects fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

No injuries were reported.

Police believe the duo had gone to the store about ten minutes before the robbery and then left before coming back.

The first suspect is described as Black, roughly six-feet and was wearing a black jacket with a fur-trimmed hood, black pants with a neon yellow thick stripe.

The second suspect is described as white, roughly five-foot-eleven and was wearing a grey jacket and jeans.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has surveillance or dash cam video of the area between 2 a.m. and 2:45 am to contact investigators at 905-825-4777, ext 2416.
