Police are investigating after a home in Niagara-on-the-Lake was the target of a shooting twice this month.

The resident of the home on Young Crescent initially called Niagara police on Wednesday after discovering suspicious damage to the front of the home following an extended period of time away.

Investigators determined that an unidentified suspect shot at the home on July 1 and fled the scene.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

On Thursday night, police were called to the home again after it was struck by gunshots.

While the home was occupied at the time of the shooting, no one was injured.

Officers found more than five bullet holes in the front of home.

Investigators say an SUV had pulled up to the house, a person inside shot at it and then fled the area.

Residents and business owners in the area are asked to check their surveillance video between 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Thursday for any suspicious activity.

Anyone with further information is asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, dial option 3, ext. 1009219.
