Police charge man involved in Hamilton car accident that killed 73-year-old

Hamilton police have charged a man in relation to a serious accident on April 25 that claimed the life of a 73-year-old man.

The two-vehicle crash happened shortly after 9 p.m. at the intersection of Barton St. East and MacNab St. North.

Paramedics transported a 73-year-old man and a 45-year-old man to hospital in critical condition.

Police say the older man later died in hospital.

Nedal Abusalem, 45, of Hamilton has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death.

Police thank the numerous community members who came forward with video of the crash.
