Halton police caught a driver in Oakville travelling 45 km/h over the posted speed limit on Tuesday morning.

Police said in an X that the accused was driving a Tesla when they were caught going 105 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

Officers said the driver will appear in court for both speeding and stunt driving charges.

A stunt driving charge is given when someone is going more than 40 km/h over the speed limit when the maximum is less than 80 km/h.

Officers also suspended the driver’s licence for a month and impounded their car for two weeks.
