Police arrest suspect wanted for fatal stabbing in Niagara Falls

Niagara police have arrested a 31-year-old from Kitchener in connection with a fatal stabbing that resulted in the death of the victim.

Police responded to calls of a stabbing on Victoria Avenue between Morrison and Simcoe streets shortly before 3 a.m. on Wednesday.

Investigators say the stabbing escalated from a fight between a group of people.

Officers say the suspect surrendered themselves to Niagara police late Thursday evening.

Police then arrested Devon Keneer. They say Keneer is facing a second-degree murder charge.

The accused was held for a video bail hearing in a St. Catharines courthouse on Friday.
