Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre is attempting to bring NDP leader Jagmeet Singh into his battle against Prime Minister Trudeau, by calling for him to withdraw his party’s support for the Liberals in an open letter.

The NDP signed on to a supply-and-confidence deal in 2022, agreeing to keep Trudeau’s government in power until 2025 in exchange for movement on key issues. However, NDP house leader Peter Julian said in response to the letter “leaving the deal is always on the table.”
