About Matt

Matt Ingram is a video journalist, reporter, anchor and producer, covering everything from breaking news to politics and more. He researched, produced, reported and hosted “Voices of Ukraine,” a CHCH News special on the start of the war. He also hosted and co-produced “Your Road Ahead,” a special report on the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He came to CHCH in 2019 from CTV News, where he worked as a video journalist in Sudbury after four years as a producer and lineup editor with CTV News Channel in Toronto. He has also worked for The Canadian Press, CBC Sports and the Toronto Sun. He is a graduate of the Sheridan College journalism new media program where he earned High Honours and won the Best Reporter Award from his 2014 graduating class. Before that he earned a specialist B.A. in Canadian and American political science and history from the University of Toronto.
