Passenger allegedly assaults two GO Transit special constables in Burlington

A 47-year-old man is facing multiple charges after two GO Transit special constables were assaulted during an interaction with a passenger in Burlington last week.
Halton police were called to the Burlington GO Transit station on Fairview Street around 9 p.m. on Feb. 9 for reports of a situation with a passenger.
Police released few details about what happened, but said the assault against two GO Transit special constables transpired on the platform after the suspect had been escorted off the train.

As a result, 47-year-old Sean Kelly of no fixed address was arrested and charged with assault of a peace officer, sexual assault, two counts of intent to resist, and two counts of disarm a peace officer.
Police say Kelly was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
