Paramedic Trial: recap of crown’s theory of the case

First Published:

For what’s thought to be the first time in Canadian history, two former Hamilton paramedics are on trial, criminally charged with failing to care for a patient.

19-year-old Yosif Al-Hasnawi was shot and killed 3 years ago. Despite the gunman being acquitted, Christopher Marchant and Steve Snively face up to 5 years in prison if found guilty.

Nicole Martin recaps what we’ve learned so far in court and walks us through the moments leading to Yosif’s death.

A caution, we will be showing police photos of the bullet wound as the crown’s theory suggests the paramedics refused to believe it was anything but a superficial wound from a BB gun.
