OPP search for wanted federal offender in Hamilton area

UPDATE: Authorities managed to track down Daniel Hale on Tuesday. He was arrested and taken into custody. He is facing a 2-year sentence for robbery.

Ontario Provincial Police are asking for help from the public in locating a wanted federal offender in the Hamilton area.

Thirty-two-year-old Daniel Hale is wanted for breaching his statutory release. He is serving a two year and one day sentence for robbery using a restricted or prohibited firearm.

Hale is described as an Indigenous man, six-foot tall, 169 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequent the Hamilton and Toronto areas.

Hale has several identifying features such as piercings in both ears, a scar in the middle of his back and on his left forearm, and more than a dozen tattoos.

  • right side of neck – crown
  • right eyebrow – “WASP”
  • bottom right-side lip – “Unknown word”
  • right hand – wavy happy face and 5 dots,
  • right fingers- “HATE”
  • right cheek – “VI”
  • right forearm- “STREET”
  • right ankle – “OFF”
  • right knee – Anarchy sign and ‘MISTAKE IN ONLY AMIS”
  • left cheek – 2x tear drops,
  • left fingers – “letters” and on his thumb “MOB”
  • left calf – “DESIMATE TI” and “$”
