OPP search for man after overnight robbery in Hagersville

Police are looking for a man after he showed a gun and robbed a business overnight on Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
Haldimand County OPP received a call shortly before 3 a.m. about the robbery.
Police say a man approached the window of a business on King St. West and brandished a gun before making off on foot with cash and cigarettes.
The suspect is described as a man in his 30’s with a medium skin complexion. He is approximately 6-foot-3 with an average build.
He was wearing a dark Carhartt sweater with the hood up, red-coloured running shoes, and a bandana covering the lower part of his face.

Police deployed a canine unit in the area with the assistance of the West Region Emergency Response Team but were not able to locate the suspect.
The investigation remains ongoing and police ask residents or businesses in the area to check their security surveillance footage for any suspicious activity.
