OPP recover 2 stolen vehicles, charge Grimsby woman

First Published:

OPP in Northumberland say they recovered two stolen vehicles last night, which led them to the arrest of a 47-year-old from Grimsby.

Around 8:45 p.m., police say they were called to the area of Bay Street West in Trent Hills, after receiving a complaint about an abandoned passenger vehicle.

Once on scene, officers confirmed the unoccupied vehicle had been stolen and reported to a neighbouring police service.

Shortly after this incident, at 9:15 p.m., an officer was patrolling King Street East in Cramahe. They received a notification of a stolen vehicle.

Officials watched the driver park the stolen vehicle, exit and walk away from police when they tried to talk to them.

As a result, police say they arrested Katherine De Jesus.

Northumberland OPP are reminding residents to contact police if they have information about suspected unlawful activity.
