OPP appeal for video footage in Caledonia pedestrian injury

Police investigating the circumstances around the discovery of an injured pedestrian on 6th Line Road in Haldimand County in the early morning of August 11 are appealing for video footage.

Officers say they responded to a report from a passing motorist at around 5:45 a.m. of someone being found injured on the roadway. Emergency crews found the person and transported them to a trauma centre with serious injuries.

Police are asking home and business owners in the area between Argyle Street and Oneida Road in Caledonia to review security footage between 4:30 a.m. and 5:45 a.m. on Sunday. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Haldimand OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Officers have determined that an assault occurred, and the circumstances are still under investigation.
