Ontario-wide warrant issued for armed man after Kitchener shooting

Waterloo Regional Police issued an Ontario-wide arrest warrant for a man in connection to a September shooting in Kitchener.

Officers have identified Michael Allard, 39, from Windsor, Ont. after a shooting that happened in September.

Investigators say Allard is considered to be armed and dangerous and his whereabouts are unknown.

The public is asked not to approach him, but to call 911 immediately.

On Sept. 22, at around 6:45 a.m., officers received a report that a person had been shot in the area of Weber St. East and Kinzie Avenue.

Upon arrival, police found a 65-year-old man from Kitchener suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police say the man was then taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators believe that it was a targeted incident.
