One dead after fatal collision in Norfolk County

First Published:

It has been a deadly few days on the roads. In Norfolk County, near Delhi, an 80-year-old man was killed in a crash between a car and a school bus yesterday afternoon.

After the fire was put out what remained was a burned out bus and car.

Police, fire and paramedics were called to Windham road 12 and Nixon road just after five last night. Collision reconstruction crews were on scene to determine what led to the crash.

Migrant workers were spotted near the scene while police continued their investigation. Police say the bus was carrying nearly 30 passengers.

Witnesses say the passengers were migrant workers from a nearby farm but police could not confirm those details. None of those passengers were injured.

The area was closed for several hours.
