Oakville man who teaches at Brampton school charged with sexual assault

Peel police have arrested an Oakville man who teaches at a Brampton middle school and allegedly sexually assaulted three females.

Officers say they received information between October and November about a teacher who allegedly sexually assaulted the female survivors.

John Weaver, 59, was charged with three counts of sexual assault and three counts of sexual interference.

Weaver currently works as a middle school teacher in Brampton for the Peel District School Board.

The suspect attended a Brampton courthouse for a bail hearing.

Peel police say the investigation remains ongoing, and they believe there may be additional victims.
